Marvin L. Storm
Marvin L. Storm has founded, acquired, and scaled businesses in the equipment leasing, business services, IT, and franchise sectors over the past four decades. After exiting his business several years ago, his initial thought was to sail into the sunset and enjoy life, but after a brief stint in the slow lane he realized that sitting on the sidelines was not for him.
As he considered his options, he felt that leveraging his decades of startup, operational, and C-suite experience could help entrepreneurs scale their businesses while creating and executing successful and profitable exit strategies would be the best use of his skill set.
With this idea in mind, he launched the Business Exit Stories Podcast. As host to the podcast, he interviews M&A Advisors, Investment Bankers, Business Brokers, and other transaction professionals inviting them to share war stories of their good, bad, and ugly deals for the benefit of entrepreneurs who are in the early stages of thinking about and positioning their businesses for an eventual exit in the future and providing the tools needed to double the money an entrepreneur can put in their pocket when they sell their business.
Marv has and continues to serve on numerous company Boards of Directors, consults with entrepreneur on their exit strategies, provides expertise witness testimony in litigation and arbitration cases, holds the Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) designation, and has been a frequent speaker at the International Franchise Association (IFA), seminars, and franchisor conventions.
Mark Lepore, M.D.
Dr. Lepore joined Aquestive in December of 2020. Prior to joining Aquestive, Dr. Lepore was the Vice President of Global Clinical Strategy and Development for Lupin. In that role he led all clinical activities for inhalation drug-device and complex injectable products, with a focus on the U.S. and Europe. From 2008 to 2013, Dr. Lepore held various roles at Teva, where he helped develop several 505(b)(2) inhaled drug-device products, including Proair Respiclick, Airduo Respiclick, and for Europe, Duoresp Spiromax. Prior to 2008, Dr. Lepore was a partner, practicing physician, and clinical researcher with Allergy and Asthma Specialists in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. During his time in practice, Dr. Lepore contributed to over 100 industry-sponsored clinical trials. Dr. Lepore received his BS degree in Biology from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, and his MD from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at University of Maryland Medical System, and his fellowship in Allergy/Clinical Immunology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Lepore has board certified both in General Pediatrics and Allergy/Clinical Immunology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
Simone Sloan, Rph MBA
Simome is an experienced executive strategist and coach. Her mantra is voice, power, and confidence. She helps business professionals find their voice, step into their power, and have the confidence to execute their greatness. An entrepreneur herself, Simone understands all the challenges that come from running a business. She honed her business skills in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries after getting an MBA and working in the pharmaceutical/biotech/healthc are world. She’s managed cross-functional teams and held roles in marketing, communications, medical affairs, sales, and global business strategy.
Steve enjoys over 22 years of experience in the franchise industry. He has successfully developed cross-functional consensus and directed needed change for franchise organizations; thereby, increasing revenue, efficiency and profits with proactive business management approaches connecting people, spearheading strategies, and continuously enhancing operations.
Steve has owned his own residential remodeling business and has served as Director of Operations for the franchisor Aamco Transmissions, Inc. He has also served as Vice President of Operations, Merchandising and Integration for Floor Coverings International corporate. He is currently Owner and President of Duke & Duke Consulting, Inc, specializing in assisting clients with finding the proper franchise system which matches their personal and financial goals. He also assists emerging franchises with operational support.
Steve is Caliper Assessment certified and possesses overwhelming experience in strategic planning, operations oversight, performance improvement, franchise evaluation, business development and brand strategy.
Steve and his wife Ashley have been married for 28 years and they have three daughters. Steve is active in his church, local community, and loves golf, tennis, coaching baseball and just about any other sport.
Thomas L. Armstead, CEO
Thomas Armstead has 30 years of business experience beginning in High School where he started his first 2 businesses selling teddy bears and t-shirts. He has worked for several large companies including Deutsche Bank and Ameriquest Mortgage Company and he has provided business development consulting services for hundreds of companies and individuals.
In 2000 he started his career in finance with Quantum Corporate Funding and American Micro Loan. Always a top sales producer Thomas has provided and arranged financing for hundreds of clients with sales totaling tens of millions of dollars and he has trained hundreds of salespeople. He is recognized as one of the nation's top real estate finance experts.
He has built a network of over 50,000 business and real estate professionals and he is a LinkedIn L.I.O.N.
